Madison woman pulled from van, beaten in broad daylight

MADISON (WKOW) — A Madison woman was dragged out of her vehicle Wednesday afternoon and beat by three people she knew following a disagreement, according to the Madison Police Department.

The attack happened at about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Johnson Street and Dickinson Street.

The 45-year-old victim agreed to drive the suspects. The group got into a disagreement while in transit and it turned violent. The woman was pulled from her van. She was punched and thrown to the ground. Several chunks of her hair were yanked out. The suspects, one man and two women, even slammed her head into the windshield causing it to crack.

They ran away and a concerned passerby called 911. The suspects have not been located.

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
