Police: “Felony Lane Gang” hits Brookfield

UPDATE (WKOW) — Janesville Police told 27 News early Wednesday morning that the same females accused of stealing a woman’s purse out of a car from a Janesville athletic club were in Brookfield Tuesday afternoon cashing stolen checks.

Now, Police believe the pair may be in the Milwaukee/Racine area. Similar incidents have also been reported in Fox Valley recently, according to law enforcement.

JANESVILLE (WKOW) — Police are looking for two suspects who may be connected to the so-called “Felony Lane Gang.”

According to the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network, the Felony Lane Gang was in Janesville May 2. Someone’s car window was smashed at an athletic club and the victim’s purse was stolen.

Police say the suspects ended up in Delavan and tried to cash a check in the drive-through of a credit union using the victim’s identification. The teller noticed something was wrong and delayed the transaction, but the suspects drove off.
