PRAIRIE DU SAC (WKOW) — One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Prairie du Sac Tuesday evening, according to the Sauk Prairie Police Department.
It happened at about 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 12 and County Highway PF.
Investigators said a white Chevy sedan traveling southbound on Highway 12 turned onto County Highway PF in the path of a Chevy SUV. The SUV slammed into the passenger side of the sedan.
The passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The diver was taken to UW Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Officers said all people involved were wearing their seatbelts and speed does not appear to be a factor.
Traffic patterns were impacted in that area for more than two hours. The scene has since been cleared.
The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
