Body pulled from Lake Mendota

MADISON (WKOW) — A body was found floating in Lake Mendota Friday morning, according to the Madison Police Department.

Authorities were called to the 100 block of East Gilman Street at about 7:20 a.m.

Madison police said the body has been tentatively identified as a Madison man who was in his 60s.

Investigators said there are no initial signs of foul play and the death does not appear to be suspicious. The Dane County Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

No other information was released.
