MIDDLETON (WKOW) — One person was taken to the hospital after a small explosion in Middleton late Tuesday night, according to the Middleton Police Department.
Captain Jeremy Geiszler told 27 News the explosion happened in a detached garage of one home in the 7100 block of South Avenue just before 10 p.m.
The home is near the intersection of South Avenue & Park Avenue, southeast of Middleton’s downtown area.
Wednesday morning authorities said one person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers evacuated some of the neighboring homes.
You are asked to avoid South Avenue between Park Street and Henry Street.
Officers say a criminal investigation and a fire investigation have been opened after the explosion. Officials said there is no danger to the public.
