Madison woman killed in crash near Evansville

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) — A Madison woman is dead and an Edgerton man is arrested for OWI after a crash near Evansville Sunday night, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

Crews were called to a crash on North Highway 213 at West Highway 59 in Magnolia Township at about 8:15 p.m.

After an investigation, officials believe a truck driven by 41-year-old Daniel B. Good of Edgerton failed to stop at a stop sign. Police said he hit an SUV driven by a 59-year-old woman from Madison. A 53-year-old woman was a passenger in the SUV.

The 59-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger suffered multiple injuries.

According to a news release, Good was arrested for Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle, Causing Injury by Intoxicated Use of Motor Vehicle, Operating While Intoxicated – 4th Offense and Failure to Stop for Stop Sign.
