KENOSHA COUNTY (WISN) — New details came out Thursday about how police caught the brothers accused of leading a counterfeit vaping cartridge operation.
Brothers Tyler and Jacob Huffhines are charged in the case. Investigators say Tyler is the accused kingpin.
Authorities say the brothers and their 10 employees made tens of thousands of illegal vaping cartridges filled with THC. Police seized the stash during a raid earlier this month.
During a court hearing on Thursday, police revealed they busted someone selling those cartridges and then he turned into a confidential informant, leading them to the Huffhines brothers.
The Kenosha County Sheriff says this could just be the beginning and more people could be charged in the case in the next few weeks.
