UPDATE (WKOW) — Sun Prairie police issued a statement Friday on the search and clearance of Sun Prairie High School, saying an investigation found no threats.

A caller told dispatchers shortly before 4 p.m. that two girls inside a particular SPHS bathroom were talking about shooting up the school while one held a gun. Police responded and evacuated the building.

Authorities could not find anyone matching the description of the girls nor a gun. A review of school video could not corroborate the 911 call.

Staff was allowed back in the building.

Sun Prairie police are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sun Prairie Police Department Non-Emergency Line at 608-837-7336, or anonymously at (608) 837-6300.

Students may be picked up at the Sun Prairie District Support Center (501 S. Bird Street), unless parents have made separate arrangements with their child.
