FITCHBURG (WKOW) — One person is in critical condition after a head-on crash in Fitchburg.
Police say around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, a driver drifted into oncoming traffic, causing a crash on McCoy Road at Syene Road.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital to be treated. One had minor injuries and was released. Police say the driver who crossed the center line is still in critical condition.
Authorities closed the road for four hours as they responded to the crash.
Police are still investigating the incident.
