More accumulating snow arrives on Halloween

MADISON (WKOW) – After a round of snow last night and early this morning, another round arrives to end the month.

SNOW RECAP

Most spots picked up around 1-3 inches of wet snow, with some slush on the roads early Tuesday morning.

FORECAST

Some sunshine returns which will melt most of the snow through the day. Temps stay cool around 40° this afternoon.

On Wednesday, another weather system moves in from the south, possibly impacting far southern communities near the state line with a light rain/snow mix.

The precipitation will move northward and overspread our area Wednesday night into Thursday, transitioning to all snow.

We’ll likely see more accumulating snow, possibly even more our current system, especially if you are farther west and north.

Temps stay chilly as well on Wednesday and Thursday only in the mid to upper 30s for highs.

Unfortunately, kids will have to wear the winter coats with the costumes trick-or-treating this year.
