TOWN OF PORTER (WKOW) — An Illinois man who was killed by a tractor on a Rock County farm early Tuesday morning has been identified.
The Dane County Medical Examiners Office says 24-year-old Daniel L. DeRose Jr., of Belvidere, IL, died from his injuries sustained in the farming accident on North Fox Road in the Town of Porter.
Authorities say DeRose was trying to get off the tractor that was being driven by someone else. He died after he slipped on a ladder covered in mud, and fell under the tractor’s rear tire.
