Authorities released the name of a woman killed Monday evening after a car hit her on eastbound U.S. Highway 18 in Madison.
Susan E. Johnson, 35, from Madison, died at the intersection of U.S. 18 and Millpond Road, according to a press release from the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. The car hit Johnson just after 7 p.m.
The medical examiner finished an autopsy Wednesday and confirmed Johnson died from injuries she received from the crash. The examiner is continuing additional testing.
Police arrested the driver,37-year-old Shuan T. Jones, for knowingly operating while revoked causing death, ignition interlock device tampering, failure to install, and resisting/obstructing an officer.
Johnson’s death is under investigation by the Madison Police department and the medical examiner’s office.
