Badgers basketball honors family of assistant coach Howard Moore

MADISON (WKOW) — The Wisconsin men’s basketball team honored the family of assistant coach Howard Moore Friday night.

Moore’s wife and daughter were killed in a crash in Michigan in May.

Moore and his son survived, but the coach had a heart attack during his recovery.

Before the game against Eastern Illinois tonight, coach Moore’s parents thanked everyone for their support.

As part of the tribute, the coach’s 13-year-old son Jerell was introduced as part of the starting lineup.

Many people have been wondering how to help the Moore family.

The Howard Moore Family Fund has been established.

Text the word “Moore” to 69050 to donate.
