Record cold conditions followed by more snow Wednesday

MADISON (WKOW) – We go from record cold this morning to another round of light snow by Wednesday.

TODAY

Record cold conditions in the single digits this morning, only rebounding to the upper teens in the afternoon.

Wind chills are also a factor, feeling sub-zero to start off Tuesday. Wind chills in the afternoon will only get to the low teens.

Bundle up with multiple layers & play it safe!

TONIGHT

We stay very cold, but not close to a record, in the low double digits. Winds will be light at least.

WEDNESDAY

Another round of light snow, mainly moving in during the afternoon hours. Snow should be more scattered in nature so we should see a few breaks.

1-3 inches of new snow accumulations expected. If the system’s forecast track moves north or south by a little bit, we may see slightly lower snow totals. Either way, keep shovels ready.

LATE WEEK

Conditions finally thaw with temps at freezing Thursday, getting to the mid and upper 30s Friday and the weekend.
