Human remains found by hunter in Adams County

FRIENDSHIP (WKOW) — A hunter found human remains Saturday in rural Adams County.

The hunter found the remains in the afternoon and law enforcement later confirmed them to be human, according to a press release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ).

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, and Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating assisted by the Adams County Medical Examiner, Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory, and Wisconsin State Patrol.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” DOJ said. “No further information is currently available.”
