Man accused of driving past barricade charged with seven felonies

The Illinois man who police say drove around a barricade Friday at Beloit’s Grand Lighted Holiday Parade was charged in Rock County Court Wednesday with seven felonies.

Curtis L. Metz, of Orangeville, Illinois, was charged with a 5th offense OWI, fleeing an officer and five counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

Metz remains in custody in Illinois. He will be extradited to Rock County at a date to be determined after addressing legal issues Illinois, according to Beloit police.
