The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office released the name of a man killed in an accident Friday at Sub-Zero in Fitchburg.
Authorities pronounced Michael G. O’Brien, 58, from Ridgeway dead at the scene, according to a press release from the ME's office. An autopsy completed Sunday confirmed O’Brien died from injuries related to the accident.
According to Fitchburg police, around 8:14 p.m. on Friday they received a call fo ra man stuck in a piece of manufacturing equipment at Sub-Zero Group on Basswood Drive.
Fitchburg Police Department, Fitchburg Fire Department, and Fitch-rona EMS all responded
Crews pulled the employee from machine and tried to save the man's life.
The examiner is conducting additional testing.
The death remains under investigation by the Fitchburg Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
