TOWN OF MADISON (WKOW) -- A drug deal turned violent in the town of Madison Thursday evening, according to the Town of Madison Police Department.
It happened at 7 p.m. at the Capitol Petro store in the 2500 block of Rimrock Road.
A 24-year-old man from Madison went to the store to purchase marijuana from someone in the parking lot.
During the transaction, the suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim's head. There was a struggle and ultimately one shot was fired, with the bullet hitting the store.
The suspect ran away and has not been located.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
