DODGE COUNTY (WKOW) -- Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says a body found near State Highway 67 in Kekoskee matches the description of a person who was last seen in mid-February.
Schmidt says the Dodge County Sheriff's Office received a report about the body just before 7 p.m. on Monday. He says the body was found on private property along Highway 67.
The sheriff says officers responded and found a deceased male lying in a field.
Schmidt says the deceased male matches the description of a male who was last seen on February 15 in Mayville.
Monday shortly after 10 p.m., a Silver Alert was canceled for 77-year-old John Bachhuber of Mayville.
The body has now been turned over to the Dodge County Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification.
