Workers at Madison restaurant tied up during armed robbery

MADISON (WKOW) -- Workers at a Madison restaurant were tied up as armed robbers ransacked the location and ran away, according to the Madison Police Department.

The incident happened at 9:48 p.m. Monday at Gloria's Mexican Restaurant on Junction Road.

Three suspects wearing masks were armed with guns as they tied the victims up and took personal items and other things belonging to the restaurant. The robbers ran away.

An MPD K-9 was used to track down the suspects. The dog led officers to a vehicle nearby.

Evidence has been collected and video from the restaurant is being reviewed.

There were no customers at the restaurant at the time of the robbery. One employee received a minor injury.
