The Edgewater hotel in Madison laid off or reduced hours for more than 200 employees last week, according to a mass layoff notice from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
In a letter to the state announcing the move, management said they expected the changes to be temporary, but with the quickly changing pandemic and its affect on business operations, the did not know how long it would last.
In total, 202 employees are affected. The changes began March 18 and are expected to be completed by April 1.
