Authorities identified the body and cause of death of a man found in Lake Kegonsa Tuesday.
The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office said Ricky Joe Strand, 58, Stoughton, died from "accidental fresh water drowning."
In a press release sent Thursday, authorities said Strand went missing after jumping from a boat on the lake Saturday evening. Strand had been out on the water with friends.
Authorities recovered the body around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday after a four-day search.
The death remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
