On Friday August 21, 2020, at 10:50pm, Officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Pike Drive for multiple callers reporting several shots fired. Officers were in the area when the incident occurred and located shell casings on a sidewalk. The investigation revealed that a group got into a fight at the corner of Pike Drive. and Eggiman Road. An individual involved in the fight began shooting at the group. The members of the group fled and were chased by the shooter.
All members of the group were unwilling to cooperate with police. A white sedan was seen in the area and believed to be involved in the incident. At this time, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
