1 person critically injured in hit-and-run pedestrian crash in DeForest

UPDATE (WKOW) -- One person was badly hurt after getting hit by a vehicle in DeForest Monday night and now police are looking for the person responsible.

The DeForest Police Department said just before 7 p.m. a pedestrian was struck by a car near the intersection of Trailside Drive and West North Street. 

The vehicle involved in the crash drove away before police got there.

The victim suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, according to authorities.

Police are now asking for the public's help in finding the vehicle and driver involved in the crash. The car should have front end damage.
