Pet pigs now allowed in the City of Madison

MADISON (WKOW) – The Madison Common Council approved a proposal Tuesday night that would allow people to have a single pig within city limits.

The pig would need to be less than 2 feet and weigh less than 300 pounds.

The ordinance requires the animal to be immunized and microchipped.

Owners would also have to have the pig on a leash if they leave the property.
