Here is a rough estimate of total snowfall which began Tuesday afternoon and evening. A few spots received 8 to 10 inches including the Blue Mounds area of Dane County, northwest of Beaver Dam and around Plymouth in Sheboygan County. Otherwise, a general 4 to 8 inches across most of southern Wisconsin. Rain and warmer temperatures kept amounts much lighter in the far southeast.
