March 19th 2017– At approximately 6:01 pm, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, along with DeForest
and Sun Prairie Fire Departments responded to a duplex fire at 5530 Larry Lane in the Town of
Burke.
The occupants noted smoke in the residence and exited without incident. American Red Cross
responded to the scene assist those displaced by the fire. No one was injured as a result of the fire
and the initial damage estimate is $150,000. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
