Madison firefighters spent the morning battling a blaze on East Washington Avenue. Crews were called to the 1900, at 2nd Street, for a house fire around 5 a.m. Wednesday. Nobody was hurt. Morning commuters however were impacted by delays as a portion of the road had to be closed to traffic.
