Police Investigating Suspicious Death in Middleton


Police in Middleton are still investigating the death of a woman in her 80s.  She was found in the garage of a home in the 7100 block of University Avenue Friday.

Authorities call the case suspicious since the woman had a head wound not consistent with that of a fall.  There was also no forced entry.  

An autopsy is planned for Saturday


We're finding out more information about Friday afternoon's incident.  A news release from Middleton Police Captain Steven Britt says they were contacted by a caller  just before 3:00 p.m. who told them he had just found a family member dead in the garage at  7113 University Avenue. He says they're calling the death "suspicious." 

Based on the complexity and seriousness of this incident,  Middleton Police officers and detectives are working with the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office officials to determine the cause and manner of death. Dane County authorities are responding to a home in the 7100 block of University Avenue about a women being found in a garage.  A medical examiner is at the scene.
