Cambria teen in custody for mistreatment of animals

The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office says a resident in the Town of Manchester contacted them Tuesday, May 16th to report their family dog had been missing since May 12th and he suspected foul play.

During the investigation, it was revealed the 10-year-old yellow lab had been running in a field near a fence line when it was shot by a turkey hunter.

Sunday, the dog's remains were located. This morning, officials took a 17-year-old male from Cambria into custody. Charges of felony mistreatment of animals - causing death have been referred to the Green Lake County District Attorney.
