June 12, 2017 – A 20-year-old East Troy man was seriously injured on Sunday, June 11th , when he attempted to jump into the water from a cliff and struck his head on a rock as he entered the water.
Dane County Sheriff’s deputies and EMS were called to the incident at Stewart County Park on CTH JG in the town of Blue Mounds just after 7:00 pm. The man’s friends and other witnesses searched underwater approximately 15 feet and brought him to the surface.
He was conveyed by Med Flight to UW Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
