Petting zoo caretaker believes Siberian lynx were stolen

DELAVAN, Wis. (AP) _ The staff at a Wisconsin petting zoo says their two 7-week-old Siberian lynx have gone missing.

Animal Gardens caretaker Danette Vincenti tells WITI-TV  that the staff at the Delavan facility last saw the lynx about 5 p.m. Monday. Vincenti believes the top of the cats' cage was sliced open to make it look they escaped. She says it's likely someone stole them and is trying to sell them on the black market.

Vincenti says she's worred about the well-being of the animals because they just started eating meat.

Animal Gardens is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the safe return of the two cats.
