A Janesville man, convicted in the hit and run death of a jogger in Dane County 15 years ago, has again been arrested in a traffic fatality.

Green County authorities say 44 year old Nathan Leopold crossed the centerline of Highway 11 Friday night, and hit another vehicle head on.  70 year old David Leck of Juda was killed, while his 12 year old passenger was hurt and taken to a Janesville hospital.

Leopold was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs.

In the spring of 2002, Leopold struck 29 year old Aimee Kubler was she was out jogging on Highway JG in the Dane County Town of Primrose. Leopold fled the scene. Kubler's husband later found her body in a ditch. One of Amy's shoes was found lying in the middle of the road.

Authorities believed that Leopold had been drinking at the time of the crash, but he wasn't arrested until days after the accident.   A judge sentenced Leopold to 7 years in prison.
