The Oregon Police Department arrested 40-year-old Lewis S. Turner earlier this afternoon after they learned he was in possession of firearms in his home.
Turner is a convicted felon and is not allowed to be in possession of any weapons.
Dane Country S.W.A.T searched his house after they obtained a warrant, and found six long guns, one handgun, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
They found Turner inside, and arrested him.
Before the search of Turner's home was conducted, Oregon Schools were placed on lock down until the search was over.
Turner is facing felony weapons possession charges.
