One person is dead after a house fire in Walworth County.
Around 8:30 a.m. Friday, authorities were called to a home on Highway 120 in the town of Spring Prairie, which is east of Elkhorn.
The Walworth County Sheriff's Office says after crews put out the fire, they found the body of someone who lived in the home.
Investigators are still trying to identify the cause and origin of the fire. The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation, while receiving help from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, Walworth County Medical Examiner's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,Firearms and Explosives.
