Sun Prairie man wins $1 million in scratch off game

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Brett Calkins of Sun Prairie has won the first top prize of $1 million playing the Wisconsin Millions scratch game, according to a news release from the Wisconsin lottery.

Calkins purchased his $30 Wisconsin Millions ticket at American Center BP at 5551 Eastpark Boulevard in Madison.

Retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive an incentive of 2% of the winning ticket amount up to $100,000.

There are a total of two $1 million top prizes in the Wisconsin Millions scratch game – one $1 million top prize is still available.  In addition to the two top prizes, players can win between $30 and $50,000. Each scratch ticket costs $30.
