Monona Police Find Missing Woman and Arrest Her Suspected Attacker

Monona police have made an arrest in a disturbing missing person case, after the missing woman was found.

Officers have arrested Matthew Levin, 50, of Mount Horeb, who police identify as the owner of Integrity Auto on Femrite Drive in Monona. He was booked into the Dane County jail on suspicion of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault, Strangulation, False Imprisonment and Kidnapping.

As we first reported Tuesday, Monona police responded Monday night to a report of a partially nude woman who ran into an area gas station stating someone was trying to hurt her.  She left before officers arrived. Police released surveillance photos of the woman and tips from the public led investigators to her Tuesday night.

The 25-year-old woman told police a man offered her a ride home, but instead drove her to a business in Monona where she was assaulted.  She then later escaped at the gas station.
