Madison police search for suspects in 2 shootings

"Never in my life would I have thought I would have been shot."

That comment from an 18 year old woman who was hit by gunfire on East Washington Avenue Thursday night. She was walking near Fast Track, 3505 E. Washington Ave., when a gunman - who was also on foot and in the driveway of the gas station - began firing at a car that was speeding away from the business at a high speed. Based on the number of casings collected, at least eight bullets were discharged. One hit the victim. She was not a target, nor was the Kwik Trip across the street. It had a window that was struck by the gunfire. The victim suffered a non-life-threating wound.

No arrests have been made in this case, or a shooting earlier Thursday outside of an apartment complex on Northport Drive.  The male victim remains in critical condition. Police say that shooting was targeted.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014
