Expansion of treatment for opioid abuse

Grants from the state Department of Health Services will support the expansion of treatment of opioid use disorder in the greater Madison area.

Tellurian and Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program have received $250,000 to provide treatment services.

Tellurian will establish a team of community recovery specialists to provide intensive, individualized care and case management to people in Dane County. This is similar to a program they already manage in Sauk and Columbia counties.

Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program will use the funds to establish services in high-need areas, including Green, Grant, Lafayette, and Richland counties.

The grants are part of Wisconsin's share of the State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis funded by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
