Teenage girls facing charges after 'vicious attack' at Madison Goodwill

MADISON (WKOW) -- Two teenage girls are facing charges after police say they "viciously attacked" a younger girl inside a Goodwill store on Madison's north side.

When police arrived to the store on North Sherman Ave. on Tuesday, they say they found the victim laying in a pool of blood, fading in and out of consciousness.

Shoppers say the suspects, 15 and 16 years old, punched the 14-year-old victim in the head and punched and "curb stomped" her while she lay on the ground.

Bystanders yelled at the girls to stop and the suspects eventually ran off. Police eventually found the suspects and took them to the Juvenile Reception Center on tentative charges of substantial battery and disorderly conduct.

The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance and treated for a broken nose and possible concussion.
