Madison police look for student accused of having weapon at school

Madison police are looking for a West High School student who may have brought a weapon to school Friday morning.

Police say the school's educational resource officer got a tip a male student at the school might have a weapon, and the student left when school officials tried to reach out to him.

Police say the 16-year-old student had an ongoing dispute with another student, adding they have probable cause to arrest him on two counts of disorderly conduct if they find him.
