Supreme Court Allows Legalized Sports Betting In States

(Washington, DC)  --  The U.S. Supreme Court is clearing a path for states to make sports betting legal across the U.S.  In a case involving New Jersey, the high court said federal prohibitions on sports betting are unconstitutional.  Lawyers for the state argued that federal limits infringe on states rights.  A 1992 federal law prohibited state-authorized sports betting, with some exceptions.
