Mom accused of hiding son suspected in killing of Whitewater man

The mother of the suspect in the killing of a Whitewater man May 8 in Conway, Arkansas, is now accused of helping her son hide from police.

Leonel Panduro, 38, of Whitewater was found shot to death at a Days Inn in Conway, a city north of Little Rock.

Sherri Keesee, 50, of Maumelle, was charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, a felony, according to KATV-TV. Police said she's the mother of Zachary Keesee, who is suspected of killing Panduro.

Police said Zachary Keesee, 24, is wanted on a charge of capital murder.

"Detectives are currently working to track Zachary down," Conway police wrote on Facebook. "The case is being vigorously investigated and several more arrests are expected."

The department did not elaborate on the charge against Sherri Keesee. She was being held in the Faulkner County jail late Monday.
