Candidate In Hot Water Over Possible Forged Nomination Signatures

(Watertown, WI)  --  A Democratic candidate for Assembly is in hot water over allegations she possibly forged signatures on nomination papers.  The Watertown Police Department said yesterday that it is investigating after a complaint was filed by Republican Party officials with the Elections Commission.  The officials had affidavits from 15 people denying they signed Charisse Daniels' nomination papers.  There were also problems with three other signatures, including one that listed an address that was a vacant lot.  Daniels' attorney said he expects her to make it on the fall ballot and that the issue will be resolved soon.
