Rash of shootings in Madison

Police  are investigating an attempted homicide on Madison's East Side Wednesday night.   They were called to the parking lot of the Kipp Corporation around 11 p.m.  following reports of shots fired.  Cops found shell casings and blood at the scene, but no victims.  Later, a 32 year old man did show up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.  The injury is non life-threatening.   Police continue to search for suspects. 

There was also shooting at a gas station Wednesday night on Madison's East Side.  Police believe it was accidental.  It happened after 11:30 at the Kwik Trip on Buckeye Road. a 15 year old girl was injured and taken to a hospital.  No arrests have been made.

On Madison's North Side Wednesday, police say three homes were hit by bullets .  Officers say shots were fired in the area of Rieder Road and Portage Road.  Authorities say people were inside two of the homes, but no one was hurt.  Police are interviewing suspects but no one has been arrested.

Madison police also dealt with 2 other shots fired cases, on the East Side,  overnight.  No injuries reported.  The incident occured on Grafton Road, and in the Oak Street area.
