UPDATE (WKOW) -- Police are focusing their search for a suspect in the Raymond Road area.

After a man suffered severe injuries as a result of a conflict with another person around 5:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, police are trying to contact the second individual.

They think he may be in an apartment complex in the 5800 block of Raymond Road, but aren't sure. They've taped off the area and have brought in help from a SWAT team to make sure the public, officers and other tenants are safe.

At this time, the other residents of the apartment complex have been evacuated.

Police say the victim is at the hospital, but they're not sure what type of weapon was used in the attack. Capt. Mike Hanson talked to the media briefly Friday morning saying they're trying to figure out "what instruments or chemicals may have been used."

Capt. Hanson says the two people involved in the dispute do know each other. Authorities hope to find the second individual soon so the incident ends peacefully.
