Update A 59 year old Madison man was transported to a local hospital after being struck by gunfire in a residence in the 1200 block of Gilson Street. The extent of injuries is not known at his time.The shooting is believed to stem from a preexisting conflict between the shooter and the victim. This appears to be a targeted shooting and members of the public are not directly in danger as a result.
