MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Part of Century Avenue in Middleton was shut down Thursday night because of a large sinkhole.
The Middleton Police Department says the closure affects both directions of Century Ave. (County Hwy. M) from Old Creek Road to Branch Street.
Police say county highway crews have been notified. Those crews will assess the area on Friday to see how long the road will be closed.
Police are asking everyone to avoid the area and plan alternate routes.
