WTS Paradigm supporting workers after attack

UPDATE: Officials at UW Hospital updated conditions of the 3 employees Thursday.  One that was listed as critical has been upgraded to "stable", while the other 2 remain in serious condition.

MIDDLETON (WKOW) — The company at the center of a workplace shooting in Middleton is working to provide services to its employees, after their co-worker opened fire inside the office on Wednesday. Police say an employee shot four people, then was shot and killed by officers at WTS Paradigm, a software company. WTS Paradigm serves more than 175 clients and 60-thousand users. Their software is used by manufacturers, dealers, lumberyards, distributors, builders and contractors. Company officials released the following statement Wednesday night:

The entire WTS Paradigm team is shocked and heartbroken by the incident that occurred today at our Middleton office. Our deepest thoughts are with all of our staff and their loved ones.  We are working directly with Dane County and our EAP services to provide employees with grief counseling.  We also plan to provide additional support services to staff in the near future. In a situation like this, you learn how great a community really is.  We cannot thank the Middleton Police Department, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, and other emergency personnel enough for their amazing response. Additionally we want to express our gratitude to neighboring organizations who provided sanctuary, food, and water to our staff during their time of need.
