3 injured in 4-vehicle crash on I-90 near Wisconsin Dells

One person was seriously hurt in a four-vehicle crash Saturday morning near Wisconsin Dells.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says around 10:10 a.m., a semi unit was parked on the right shoulder of I-90 westbound at mile marker 85 near Wisconsin Dells. The driver of a van rear-ended the semi-trailer, which sent the van spinning into the westbound lanes where it rolled over, coming to a rest on its roof. Troopers say a third vehicle then hit the van, and a fourth vehicle had a rear-end collision with the third vehicle.

All westbound lanes were blocked for about an hour and 20 minutes and traffic had to be re-routed.

One person in the van was taken by helicopter to a hospital with serious injuries. Two other occupants were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
